The Black Burris 300208 AR-332 3x32 Prism Sight Review

Are you looking for a unique and compact scope that brings the best out of your shooting capabilities? The Burris 300208 AR-332 3x32 Prism Sight (Black) Review takes a look at the features and specifications that make it worthwhile. It is a gadget that is bound to increase your accuracy and more than aid in hitting the target. A more depth look into it showcases the following features:
Waterproof
The scope is waterproof meaning that it is an all weather gadget. It does not lose its efficiency even in the harshest conditions hence you can still get a clean shot even when there is a heavy downpour. This feature allows for the user to get a bright and crisp, clear image of the target, minimizing the influence of the bad weather on the target.

Nitrogen gas
The Nitrogen gas is what fills the tube containing the optical system, preventing fogging and clouding of the lens. This would cause a distorted image of the target and render poor visibility. The gas maintains an optimum temperature, hence influencing the crisp, clear images that are customary throughout to the Burris. The gas is more than useful for the low, cold temperatures that influence moisture, which is responsible for the fogging.
Fixed 3X Magnification
It has a 3X magnification that enables you to engage rather quickly with targets at short distances. The magnification is fixed such that little or no adjustments are required when you spot your target and there is need to engage immediately. Furthermore, it has a circular center that focuses on a small field of view making it ideal for use on targets at immediate or close distances. This feature is what makes it more popular with law enforcement, competitive shooters and military personnel.
Unique CQ Reticle
The optical system pinpoints the target using a unique CQ reticle that is illuminated. It is crucial in reducing the amount of time that is required to get your target regardless of the lighting condition. The best part about it is that it more than improves the accuracy in the darkness. The reticle has three color options of red, green and black, with your target falling on the background. This allows you to pick the exact spot you want to hit the target.
Picatinny rail mounting
The Picatinny rail mounting provides security and stability ideal for additional accessories like lasers, lights or additional sights. This also reduces the overall recoil when the shot is fired. It allows for rampant and accurate firing, which is proof that it can be used on automatic machine guns that discharge many rounds in a very short time. It determines the elevation of the scope of the rifle, which is ideal for determining the trajectory compensation while aiming and shooting.
Pros

  • It has nitrogen gas in the tube housing the optical system that prevents fogging.
  • It has a unique 3X reticle that provides accuracy in darkness.
  • It is waterproof.
  • It has a fixed 3X magnification that means it is always ready for use with no need for immediate adjustments.

Cons

  • The field of view is very small in comparison to other scopes.

Final Verdict
The Burris scope is an effective tool especially for the military and law enforcement who have received exceptional training. However, it is not a recommendation for high risk activities like hunting as it requires great skill for handling the rifle even without it. Unless it is for practice, it is not built for long range precision but it is good for shooting range competitions at shorter ranges.

Your Number One Wall Hanger?

All hunters have that one animal that they want to have on their wall more than anything else. It’s the one animal that still eludes them, the one they dream about all the time. And if they close their eyes they picture that animal hanging on their wall or in their trophy room.

Whether it’s a 200 inch mule deer – 30 inch spread with tons of mass, 400 inch elk, 180-200 inch whitetail, or a moose that has a 50+ inch spread.

You should read this story before start any article- Read Now

Which ever animal it is that you crave to have on your wall, it’s definitely a goal that most sportsmen work to attain. Even though some may not admit being trophy hunters. Almost all hunters have that one animal they want more than anything tucked away in the back of their mind.

Mine happens to be a 200+ inch mule deer with tons of mass. I love mass on a mule deer. In my opinion and this is only my opinion. A 200+ inch mule deer is one of the hardest animals to kill. Especially on public land.

Which animal do you want hanging on your wall the most?
Or do you already have your number one wall hanger?
Be safe and good hunting my friends.

Why Is Our Mule Deer Herd Declining?

If you live in Utah or any of the western states and you’re a hunter I guarantee you’ve heard this topic. Or it’s a topic and discussion that you’ve been involved in. And the reason why is because it is a problem. It’s all I’ve been hearing about since I started hunting when I was 15 years old. My first mule deer hunt was actually right after 92-93. Two of the harshest winters that Utah has ever seen and the winter kill was staggering. I was reading a Hunting story before i start my hunting.

I got lucky enough to kill a decent buck in 94 though. Through word of mouth and from other hunters on the same mountain that I was hunting on, apparently I was the only one to kill a deer that day on that mountain. And it was true my shots were the only shots I heard that day.  This mountain usually has dozens and dozens of hunters crawling it on opening day. So it’s always crowded and it was on that day as well.

We wrote an article on some reasons why the mule deer herd is declining here in Utah. We’ll post it on here as soon as it gets published.
How are the mule deer herds doing in your state? We’d also like to hear your thoughts and opinions on this subject as well.
Be safe and good hunting my friends.
